About us
UNION TRADE Ltd. and SZÉKELYI Ltd. have been owned by the Lászlóffy family for 30 years. Their shoe accessory manufacturing plant operates in the village of Székely, near the Romanian and Ukrainian borders. Thanks to the founder István Lászlóffy’s decades of industry experience, the group has become an internationally recognized company.
They are the only company in Hungary to manufacture shoe components such as insole boards, Lefa counters, and toe puffs at an industrial scale, primarily for German and Austrian shoe manufacturers. Sales are managed by a four-member team in Budapest, while production in Székely is overseen by Krisztián Sütő. The sale of the glove factory in 2016 provided the financial foundation for further developments.
Factory
The factory is located in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, on the outskirts of the village of Székely, just 20 minutes from Nyíregyháza and the M3 motorway. It primarily produces shoe accessories for German and Austrian shoe manufacturers, sourcing its raw materials from reputable European suppliers. Over the years, the facility has undergone complete renovation and significant expansions, resulting in a substantial increase in both production and storage capacity.
We continuously upgrade and expand our machinery to keep pace with technological advancements in shoe manufacturing. Our in-house developments are carried out in collaboration with Hungarian machine manufacturers, while new equipment is typically sourced from Italy.
Safe operations and compliance with safety regulations are now essential requirements during production. Neglecting these not only jeopardizes the timely service of customers but also meets the general expectations of all component suppliers.
Products
The shoe accessories manufactured in our factory provide the shape, support, stability, and comfort of the shoe. These products include the insole board, Lefa counter, and thermoplastic toe puff and counter.

Our clients typically come from German-speaking regions. They are companies known for their quality and reliability, with whom we now engage in collaborative thinking. This allows us to better understand their goals and more effectively meet their needs.
Naturally, the same commitment drives us when working with our Hungarian clients as well. It can be said that there are hardly any significant shoe manufacturers in Hungary who do not source the components included in our product range from us.
