About us

UNION TRADE Ltd. and SZÉKELYI Ltd. have been owned by the Lászlóffy family for 30 years. The factory, which specializes in shoe accessory manufacturing, is located in the eastern part of the country, near the Romanian/Ukrainian border, in the village of Székely, Szabolcs-Szatmár County.

Founder and managing director István Lászlóffy has spent his entire career in the leather and footwear industry. The experience and connections he gained over the years have helped the company group grow into a widely connected and internationally recognized enterprise. Our goal is to establish long-term partnerships based on a broad client base, ensuring both a higher level of service for our customers and the safe operation of our factory. Within our product category, we are currently the only company in Hungary producing at an industrial scale. Our most important partners are German and Austrian shoe manufacturers, and we are considered one of the key producers in this market. Accordingly, our main competitors also come from this region.

Administrative tasks and sales are handled by a four-member team based in Budapest. Production is organized and managed in Székely under the leadership of plant manager Krisztián Sütő, who has been working at the factory for over 19 years. Sales are overseen by István Lászlóffy Jr., who joined the company four years ago after completing ten years of studies and gaining experience abroad. His involvement ensures the long-term continuity of the company and demonstrates the family’s commitment to its future.

The successful sale of the group’s glove factory, which employed over 100 people, in 2016 enabled the shoe accessory plant to access additional resources to support the technical and financial needs of its growing production. As a result, the developments of recent years have continued at a steady and dynamic pace.
